"Amanda is amazing! I reached out on a local Moms Facebook group asking if anyone had recommendations for a Doula because me and my husband decided to go the natural home birth this time around. Amanda happened to see it and contacted me. We met in person and from there it was a no brainer that we wanted her as our Doula! My due date was 9/11/21 and her daughter was actually getting married on the 18th so we were hoping baby girl would come either before or after the 18th. Of course she didn’t! But luckily Amanda had a backup Doula that was amazing as well! I went into labor right as her daughter’s wedding reception started, talk about bad timing. But her backup Lindsay was able to get there very fast and she was great! At 9:21 our second little girl was born and luckily Amanda made it to the birth, we were so happy to have her there. Even though she missed the labor it was still so awesome having her there as moral and verbal support for the last few minutes of my labor. She made it by 6 minutes, she hustled to make it in time! Amanda makes it a point to form a close relationship with her clients and we definitely felt that. "Hiring Amanda to be my doula was one of the best decisions I ever made. I had a high risk pregnancy where my ob and the specialists at maternal and fetal medicine tried to pressure me into a c-section because my previous baby had shoulder dystocia. I hired Amanda and she helped me to prepare for birth and supported me in labor. Her support gave me the confidence to say no to a scheduled c-section and I ended up having a very smooth delivery with her by my side. She utilized her tool bag of doula tips and tricks to help me stay mobile while I was laboring (helping bring baby down) and I was able to birth my baby safely in the end with no should dystocia.
